2013 Dodge Charger Rt Daytona
Yes, the Dodge Charger Daytona is back, making its debut this week at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. But unlike the original, only hardcore Dodge fans will recognize this new kit.
Instead of an outlandish rear wing and imposing snout, the 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona gets black hood stripes, a matching black vinyl roof wrap, a small rear wing and 20-inch aluminum wheels with more black highlights. The special package also features a unique color palette of Daytona Blue, Bright White, Billet Silver or Pitch Black, and "Daytona" graphics on the rear quarter panels.
If that's not enough, the package also sports a Daytona Blue engine cover, performance 3.06 rear axle ratio, paddle shifters with manual mode for the five-speed automatic transmission, and sports-tuned steering and suspension. No changes are made to the engine, which means a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 rated at 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque is nestled under the hood.
Inside, there's a custom interior with Daytona Blue stitching and piping, dark brushed aluminum trim, a Mopar pedal kit and a Beats Audio 10-speaker sound system.
Available on the 2013 Dodge Charger R/T and Charger R/T Road & Track, the new Daytona package is priced from $32,990 for the Charger R/T, representing a $2,995 premium, and $36,495 for the Charger R/T Road &Track, which represents a $2,500 premium.
Sales commence in the first quarter of next year, and, given the success of the previous Charger Daytona launched for 2007, we suspect this one will sell out fast.
